Whether you are a complete beginner, have represented your school/college or even played at county and national level, we have opportunities for you to participate.
Get involved in one of our many sports clubs here at City, University of London. Whatever your game or level, the Wolfpack will attempt to find a way for you to enjoy and develop your skills.
From popular team games through to individual pursuits, our clubs provide opportunities for training, competition and fun. These clubs are administratively run and organised by students through an elected Committee annually.
All of our Clubs are subsidised through the University Sports Department, which makes joining quite cost efficient and student friendly. At City, we have a saying that ‘you will always remember your teammates’ and this rings true throughout all of our Clubs and Teams. The friends you make during this time of your student life will be the ones which last a lifetime!
Inclusion
Sport should always be considered a safe place and at City we are fiercely proud of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies and initiatives. All Wolfpack Clubs are in line with the University’s and City Students’ Union values.
These values are demonstrated through our many activities such as celebrating Black History month, promoting participation during This City Girl Can, tackling Islamophobia, or wearing Rainbow Laces to bring awareness to our LGBTQ+ communities.
We have a zero-tolerance approach towards any type of bullying, harassment or activity which does not promote inclusivity within our programming and our University. #beinclusive
The Thames Varsity
38 Teams, 2 Universities, 1 Trophy
The Thames Varsity is our annual sports competition that sees City compete against Kingston University in 20 matches spread over several days of unmissable sporting action both home and away.
While our rivalry is good natured, the Varsity brings out a competitive spirit of pride and sport between our 2 institutions. The majority of City teams are involved, but those that are not join the many spectators to cheer on our Wolfpack or #backthecitypack.
The Thames Trophy has stood proudly in CitySport for the last 3 competitions, perhaps you can get involved to help us keep it home?
How do I join?
It’s easy to get involved with the Wolfpack. Find out more about the sport and the members involved on the City St Georges Student Union site . From there you’ll just need to contact the team and ask about getting involved. Always remember to check out the relevant social media options also!
