CityVentures has developed a hybrid accelerator and incubator programme to help early stage businesses receive support, mentoring and access to professional services that are crucial to continuing your entrepreneurial journey.

The City Launch Lab

The City Launch Lab has a prime location in the grounds of Tech City and is a short distance from both Northampton Square and 'Silicon Roundabout'.

The space is home to over 40 startups founded by City Students and Graduates, each company are at similar stages of their journey and benefit from sharing experiences, skills and contacts with one another.

We are proud to be able to support businesses across a range of industries ranging from those developing tech platforms with artificial intelligence through to creative arts and production agencies.

The launch programme

The City Launch Lab has two intakes a year (February and October) that sees 10 of the best startups from City join the launch programme and become a member of the community for up to 12 months.

The first three months will take the form of an accelerator programme. Successful participants are asked to commit to engaging in up to 8 hours of activity per week. The programme usually takes place in the Launch Lab, however due to COVID-19 restrictions the programme has currently transitioned online and will take place on Zoom or similar video platforms.

The workshops and mentoring activities will cover all aspects of growing a business. This will typically include everything from raising investment to building financial models and everything in between.

Expert guidance and community support

Sessions will be led by the very best entrepreneurs and practitioners to help provide practical advice and suggestions to apply to businesses and founders' skill sets.

After completing the initial accelerator, members are invited to stay in the Launch Lab for a further nine months to implement everything they have learned and work on growing their business. Members can engage in an exciting programme of events, mentoring activities and shadowing opportunities designed to continue to support their development.

The community strives to be inclusive and supportive with a range of dedicated community events to share their tips/ tricks and collectively celebrate triumphs and help solve any challenges together.
