The Corporate Relations & Employability Unit (CREU) operates within the School of Science & Technology. The unit supports both students and employers through the process of undertaking or providing placements, internships and work-based learning.
The CREU offers a variety of bespoke work-based learning programmes, all of which have been designed to accommodate varying requirements of students and employers.
We educate our students by integrating professional development planning and employability into course material. We connect our academics with industry professionals to enrich programme content and gain professional input for course design.
Our team provides employers with a simple and complete service that enables organisations to access City talent.

Professional development
The CREU promote professional development by helping students focus on planning in pursuit of achieving excellence, building a portfolio of skills, employability, and understanding the professional, legal and ethical issues that underpin the professions.
With strong engagement with employers, we deliver a comprehensive and successful framework for supporting students to realise their career potential and for ensuring our students are equipped with the skills for business.

Awards and Prizes
On 28th September 2022, three undergraduate students in the School of Science and Technology each received the 2022 Dean’s Award for Professional Excellence (DAPE).
